WEDDING

DIXON—FRASER. The marriage of Doris Patricia, third daughter of Mr and Mrs J. I. Fraser, and Lieutenant (A) Jeifery Taylor Dixon, younger son of Mr and Mrs H. J. Dixon, was celebrated at All Saints' Church by the Venerable Archdeacon Whitehead on Monday evening. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of embossed white satin, made with a heart-shaped neckline and low waist, from which the full skirt fell into a train. Her net veil was held in place with a top

knot of real flowers, and she carried a sheaf, of cream gladioli. Her two bridesmaids, the Misses Jacqueline Fraser and Marquerite Mathias, were in white taffeta frocks, made on similar lines to the bride's. They carried bouquets of gold and. autumn-tinted gladioli, and wore wreaths of the same flowers in their hair. Lieutenant (A) Lex Aspinall was the best man, and Lieutenant (A) Bernard Nicholas, of Christchurch, groomsman. Later relations and_ a few intimate friends were entertained at a reception at Wain's Hotel, where they were received by Mr and Mrs Fraser, assisted by Mr and Mrs Dixon. Mrs Fraser wore a cornflower-blue dinner frock with toque to match, a sliver fox fur, and a spray of flowers in cyclamen tonings. Mrs Dixon was in wine velvet embossed georgette, with a hat to tone, and carried pink flowers. For going away the bride wore a three-piece tailored ensemble in blue grey with navy accessories.
