JET PROPULSION
WHITTLE RESIGNS FROM COMPANY (Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 11. The inventor and designer of the first British gas-turbine jet propulsion unit to be used successfully in aircraft, Air-Commodore Frank "Whittle, has resigned from Power Jets Limited, in which he was a director and chief technical advisor, because he " disagreed with the policy required of, and imposed on the company." Air-Commo-dore Whittle said he had no dispute with the company.
