DOUBLE TO JOE CANN The consistent Joe Cann was the principal winner at the Dunedin Whippet Racing Club's meeting at Takuua oh Saturday afternoon, but lie had little to spare in a thrilling finish from the veteran Crack Guy. Joe Cann also won the Ladies' Bracelet, in which there were lady slippers and lady callers. This event was decided in two heats and a final, and it was a tribute to the skill of the slippers that most of the dogs got away well. Noble. Runt, who has been' putting up an enviable; record of successes in recent weeks, scored twice on Saturday, over hurdles and on the flat, and looks like making the grade into the best company. Lucky Pads, a Christchurch-bred ddg, showed his best .form to date in winning the Open Flat Handicap, which carried with it the H. F. Pay ton Memorial Cup.
