LONDON*. Jan. 2;!.—Reuter's correspondent at Karachi says 2,000 members of the K.A.I', are reported to be on a stay-in strike at Mauripur. the main centre for the movement of troops. The R.A.E. grievances include slow demobilisation and the reduction in the volume of air trooping movement from Tndia. RECORD YEARLING PRICK. The highlight of the yearling sales at Trenth'am to-day was the sale of a Coronach —Princess Ball filly to a Melbourne trainer, Stan Reid, who was acting as agent. The special trooip train bringing Otngo and Southland members of the Dominion Monarch draft south was approximately 30 minutes late at Timaru and is not expected to reach Dunedin till a little after 8 o'clock.
