RUSSIANS IN MANCHURIA
APPLICATIONS FOR SOVIET CITIZENSHIP (Rec. 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 6. Thousands of Russian emigrants .in Manchuria are reported to be applying to the Soviet consulates for Soviet citizenship, says Reuter’s Moscow correspondent. From mid-November to December 31 there were 7,000 applications in Harbin alone. The applicants moved to Manchuria before the October, 1917 revolution. _ They followed sympathetically Russia’s struggle throughout the war.
