VAL D’AOSTA AREA
COUNCIL APPOINTED (Rec. 11.45 a.m.) ROME, Dec. 30. The Italian Government has announced the appointment of a council for the Val D’Aosta, consisting of nominees from local and national liberation committees.- The Val D’Aosta is a valley on the FrancoJtalian border which was occupied! by French troops after the Italian collapse. The French have withdrawn their unofficial claims to the territory, and the British and American troops are expected to leave soon.
