WORK FOR LEPERS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The ' Lepers’ Trust Board wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude for the magnificent response made to the appeal for the lepers in the South Pacific. The Christmas of many lonely souls has been made brighter and happier through this generosity. In addition to goods, the splendid sum of £18.500 has been received in cash, and some of this money has already been allocated to assist the leper work being done in the British South Solomons, the New Hebrides, and New Caledonia by the Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist, Seventh Day Adventist, and Catholic Missions. During the coming year we hope to extend this work.—l am, etc., P. J. Twomey, Secretary, Lepers’ Trust Board. December 28.
