TURKEY ALSU ROCKED
THOUSANDS HOMELESS IN ANATOLIA ISTANBUL, December 30. Two thousand people are homeless as a result of a violent earthquake shock in Western Anatolia, including the Smyrna area. Three hundred houses collapsed,, and about the same number were damaged, but no heavy loss of life has been reported. Panic-stricken people from some villages camped >ut in cotton fields despite the severe cold. It was last week reported from Istanbul that earthquake shocks rocked'the Turkish province of Van for a .mouth and 10.000 people were rendered homeless. Van was left almost a heap of rubble.
