WAR CRIME TRIALS
MURDER OF CANADIANS GENERAL KURT MEYER CHARGED (Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 28. > A court martial has acquitted the German, Major-general Kurt Meyer, on two of five charges involving direct and indirect responsibility for the murder of 41 Canadian prisoners of war in Normandy shortly after D-Day. The court announced that the findings and sentences on the other three charges will be promulgated later. The trial is being resumed to-day to deaLwith a sixth charge involving the shooting of seven other Canadian prisoners of war.
