LEBANON DEMANDS
WITHDRAWAL OF FOREIGN TROOPS (Rec. 10.40 a.m.) PARIS, Dec 27. The Lebanese Legation in France demanded the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Lebanon. It stated: “ Leanon wishes friendly relations with all nations, but refuses to be the bridgehead directed against the independence of Arab countries.”
Reuter says it is understood that under the recent agreement British troops is Syria were to be evacuated to Palestine, but apparently the French and British are regrouping in Lebanon.
