STATE RECOGNITION DEMANDED (Rec. .12.15 p.m.) ATHENS, Dec. 23. The Communist leader, Giorgios Siantos, at a meeting of 70,000 members of the Resistance Forces, urged that the British should manage their own affairs. The meeting demanded:— First, a complete amnesty for everyone detained for offences committed during the occupation and during civil strife; secondly, State recognition of the resistance movementthirdly, active participation by resistance repre-' sentatives in the Government.
