DARLAN’S MURDERER
EXONERATED BY COURT PARIS, December 22. The Appeal Court at Algiers exonerated Fernand Bonnier de la Chapelle, the 20-year-old de Gaullist, who was executed for murdering Admiral Darlan on Christmas Day, 1942. The judge said the discovery of documents after liberation showed that Darlan was acting contrary to the interests of France.
