The Weather Office advised at noon: —Situation: An anti-cyclone is over the North Island, and a low pressure trough is approaching the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m., Sunday: Moderate to fresh north-west winds, decreasing to-morrow and tending west or southwest. Weather: Fair, apart from scattered rain in the ranges and a few coastal showers to-morrow; Temperatures moderate. Further outlook fair.
