(From our Correspondent.) Personal.—On Tuesday afternoon Mr A. Hall, headmaster of the Balclutha primary school, who leaves to take up a similar position in- Invercargill next year, was, with Mrs Hall, entertained at afternoon tea by the staff and presented with a wall mirror, while Mrs Hall was presented with a posy. On Tuesday evening Mr. Hall was met by members of the Balclutha Bowling Club, of which he is a past president, and presented with a monetary gift. At the break-up ceremony at the school on Wednesday afternoon Mr Hall received a leather bowl bag from the pupils. Bowling.—On Tuesday three mixed rinks from Mosgiel Club visited Milton and played a match with the local club, the result being a win for the visitors by 56 points to 46 points. Manchester Unity.—On Monday night the installation o!f officers of Loyal Milton Lodge was carried out by P.P.G.M. Bro. H. E. Ransome, assisted by P.G.S. The officers installed were— N.G., Bro. T. H. Haynes; V.G., Bro., L J. Lawrence; E.S., Bro. R. Coutts; warden, Bro. I. R. King; guardian, Bro. H. McNeillv; 1.P.N.G., Bro. J. W. Tiffany. On Tuesday night P.G. Bro. I. Masters acted as installing officer at the annual meeting of Loyal Dalton Lodge. Officers installed were—N.G., Bro. James Guest; V.G., Bro. J. M. Wilson; E.S., Bro. T. C. Holgate; warden, Sister S. Darling; guardian, Sister D. Tweedie. Toko District High. School.—The break-up and presentation of certificates of Toko District High School was held on Tuesday afterndon, when the Mayor (Mr C. Championship certificates won at the recent Otago athletic meeting were presented to Alison R. Grant (skip, under 14) and Earl Pringle (broad jump, under 13). .Raymond Nicholls and David Flett were the winners of the road patrol competition. * St. Joseph's School.-—Owing to the prevalence of sickness amongst the pupils the break-up ceremony in connection with St. Joseph's school was abandoned this vear. Father Rooney calling on the pupils at their homes and making tlip usual gifts. Principal awards wore—Gold cross for Christian "doctrine. Joan Harvev; dux of school, Claire Graham; best all-round girl, Joan Graflin.
