DEMONSTRATION IN SINGAPORE
(Rec. 11 45 a.m.) SINGAPORE, December 20. Six thousand strikers demonstrated in front of British military headquarters carrying banners bearing such slogans as: “We want rice,” “We protest against Imperialism and British, French, and Dutch oppression of Annam and Indonesia.” The police stood by during the demonstration.
