USE OF JAPANESE TROOPS CRITICISED

LONDON, November 4. In the first direct Russian comment on developments in Indonesia, the Moscow ' New Times ' says that the noble aims put forward by the United Nations encouraged colonial peoples to new activities and assured them of quick achievement of political and economic equality. "In spite of the declaration of noninterference, the 'British supported the restoration of French and Dutch rule. Japanese troops, still not disarmed, are being used for the represssion of local national movements," the newspaper adds. " These facts cause surprise and alarm among the democratic public of Britain, and the significance of events in Indonesia spreads far beyond its borders, and finds support among the democratic forces of the whole world."
