HOMING PIGEONS
RACE FROM NAPIER The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew the , Albert Stevenson memorial race from Napier on Saturday. Mr W. Strother liberated 94 birds, representing 18 lofts, in fine weather, Tne winning bird put up a fast performance in flying the 554 miles in 12 hours 19 minutes. Results in yards per minute: — • M. Anderson's Black Boy, I,322yds*, 1; J. Scoullar's Call In, I,2loyds, 2; J. Scoullar's Smoke Screen. 1,209yd5, 3; A. Morris's Bingle, 1,204yd5, 4; A. Stone's Padlock, I,lßßyds, 5; J. Still's Shetland, I,lß4yds, 6; J. Scoullar's Blue (Ribbpn, I,lß3yds, 7; A. Morris's Tifoon, I,lßoyds,, 8. The club will fly another race from Napier next Saturday.
