SALES IN AMERICA OBJECTED TO
(Rec. 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 4. Representative Barrett (Republican, Wyoming) said it had been reliably reported that Britain had indicated a desire to sell 380,000,0001 b of wool stored in America on the American .market. "Congressmen from the woolgrowing States will vigorously protest against such a move," he said, "The wool was brought to the United States for the sole purpose of providing an adequate supply for Britain if shipments from Australia were stopped by war conditions, and with the understanding that it would not be sold here."
