PREPARATIONS COMPLETE
ATTACK ON AIR SPEED RECORD LONDON, October 21. Although preparations at Herne Bay for an attack on the world’s air speed record are now complete, it is unlikely that an attempt will be made before Wednesday or Thursday, says ‘ The Times ’ aviation writer. The delay is attributable mainly to the imperfect knowledge gained so far of the problems involved in very high speed flying.
