APPEAL FOR LEGAL AID
(Rec. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 22. Later Baillie Stewart reappeared in court and applied for legal aid. He said: “ I would like to repeat that I am'not guilty. 1 have been away from England eight years an.i h>ve been in close rigorous conn icmeut for five months. When I told that I would be charged 1 was also informed of the death of my mother I have no one to turn to now.”
The magistrate granted the application.
