KAIKORAI DEFEATS ALEXANDRA Teams from the Kaikorai and Alexandra Cricket Clnbs met in the-annual Labour Day match at Bishopscourt yesterday. Both teams batted 12 a-side, and Kaikorai, going iii first, made 192 (G. McGregor 45, G. G. Irvine 42, R. Jaffray 36). Bowling for Alexandra, P. O’Reilly took five wickets, for 66 runs. Stewart one for 61, Uttley one for 15. T. Lynch one for 7, and Wilson one for 3. Alexandra replied with 148 (Whyte 43, Lynch 23, Pearce 21, and O’Brien 21). Bowling for Kaikorai, McGregor took six wickets for 53 runs, Cameron one for S, Welham two for 11, and Irvine’two for 10. Kaikoari won by 44 runs.
