TOTALISATOR ROOF COLLAPSES LONDON, October 20,

The roof of the totalisator building at the Worcester races collapsed under the, weight of hundreds of racegoers who, defying warnings, had clambered on to the top. Over 100 people fell into • the building, and hundreds of others slipped to the ground. Minor casualties, including about a dozen totalisator girls on whom the people fell as they were selling tickets in the building, were treated at the course hospital, and four persons, all with fractures, were admitted to the Worcester Infirmary.
