VALUABLE HOARD FOUND IN JAPAN TOKIO. October 18. The American authorities seized more than 30.000.000 dollars’ worth .of glittering diamonds belonging to the official Japanese Government "Control Agency. They were stored in thermos bottles in a safe denosit vault at the agency, which claimed that the gems came from women’s rings and other jewellery as part of the civilian drive to aid the war.
[ A message yesterday stated that American army offirers found a fortune .in diamonds buried in a chicken coop on top of a mountain 160 miles north of Tokio They also found 11 orates of platinum. Another search party discovered a package of 8.000 carats of diamonds.]
