RESERVE BANK RETURN. An increase of £614,649 has carried the sterling exchange holding of the Reserve Bank to £71,230,293, as at October 15. Advances to the Marketing Department, and the item " other assets " are slightly higher. Bank notes in circulation have shown a slight increase, while demand liabilities to both the State and (he trading banks have increased. The proportion of reserves to notes and other demand liabilities is 70.85 per cent., compared with 70.92 for the preceding week.
