REPARATIONS CONFERENCE
WHAT AND HOW GERMANY SHALL PAY (Rec. 8 a.m.) PARIS, Oct. 18. A conference of Allied! experts will be held in Paris on November 9 to determine the amount and methods of obtaining reparations from Germany, and also to determine in what proportion 75 per cent, of the reparations that can be collected in the western zones of Germany is to be divided between Great Britain, America, France, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Holland, Greece, and Yugoslavia. The remaining 25 per cent, will go to Russia and Poland. The Potsdam conference decided that Russia and Poland would be entitled to all the reparations that could be collected in the Russian zone, also 25 per cent, of the reparations tha-fc can be collected in the western zones. The reparations are to'be fixed principally in machinery audi raw materials, as well as Germany's assets abroad, subject to leaving Germany sufficient equipment to assure her of a workable peace-time economy*
