The Weather Office advised at noon: A deep depression lies south of the South Island, and au anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasmari Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. Friday: South-west - winds, strong at times on the coast, elsewhere moderate. Weather cloudy, with occasional showers, but improving to-morrow. Temperatures cold. Frosts inland. Further outlook: General improvement
