ROSLYN AND KAIKORAI

RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers and Householders' Association was held in Mr Laurenson's board room on Monday night. There were present Mr E. Sunderland (in the chair), aud Messrs F. S. Sharp, M CT Henderson, P. Ramage, M Thomson, P Delahunty, A. Laurenson, and the secretary, Mr J Hunter. The chairman moved a vote of sympathy with Mr A Reid and family, and also with Mr A. D. Sutherland and family in their recent bereavement.

Mr Laurenson reported on the preparation of a time-table for the district. It was reported that the tar-sealing of Beta street was in progress. In connection with the vacant section at the corner of Ross street and Highgate, it was reported that the owners intended to build in the near future.

The secretary was instructed to write to the City Council regarding the channelling of Jellicoe Crescent, and also the draining of storm water in Lurjdia street, both of which works were authorised some considerable fime ago. The secretary was also instructed to get in touch with the Otago Lawn Tennis Association concerning the tenuis courts in Mellor Park

It was decided to hold- the annual "meeting on November 19.
