TELEVISION DEVELOPMENTS
BRITISH ACTIVITY (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 31. The Televison Development. Committee of the Radio Industry Council has decided to apply to the Government for the .immediate introduction of a television still-pattern picture transmission from Alexandra Palace. The committee dkiosed that the B.B'.C.has already beguga to send out test signals on a television sound channel. The chairman of the committee said the programmes should start very soon. America would have mass-pro-duced sets on the market early in 1946 and the British industry should movo immediately.
