GREEK ELECTIONS

ALLIES TO OBSERVE PROGRESS (Rec. iioon.) ATHENS, August 20. It is officially announced that the British, American, and French Governments have agreed to send observers for the progress of the plebiscite and the elections in accordance with the agreement of February 12. Russia has declined on the ground that she is opposed to the principle of foreign supervision of elections. The Greek Government would welcome Russian observers if the Soviet revises its decision.
