WAR CABINET DISSOLVED.
STOP PRESS
The War Cabinet held its last meeting this morning. The Prime Minister announced that it had unanimously come to the conclusion that its functions can now be performed by the Government Cabinet. As a result, Messrs Hamilton and Perry retire by mutual consent, and have handed their resignations to the GovernorGeneral. Mr Hamilton has served since 1940, and Mr Perry since the death of ill' Coates in 1943. 'Mr Fraser expressed high appreciation of the War Cabinet, which, as a war-time political administration, had more than justified the highest expectations, and the success of its task was reflected in the manner in which the country's magnificent war effort had been Wel'liugton correspondent.
