CALL TD EAST TAIERI
REY. W. H. D. WARIN The Dunedin Presbytery has sustained a call from the congregation of East - Taieri to the Rev. W. H. D. Warin, of Waikaka Valley. The Rev. A. Macfarlane, tile interim moderator, reported that the call had been unusually well signed. 228 members out of a roll of 240 having subscribed their
names to it., as well as 76 adherents. After graduating LL.B. from Auckland University, Mr Warm spent nine years in a law office. He then entered tin? Theological Hall, Knox College, where he showed conspicuous ability as a student. His first charge was that of Normanby, in Taranaki, from where he was called to Waikaka Valley. He is at present clerk of the Presbytery of Mataura, and a member of various assembly, synod, and presbytery committees. Mi- Warin will be the second successive LL.B. to go to the parish of East Taieri, the degree also having been held by his predecessor, the Rev. S.’iC. Reid, who is at present agent for. the National Patriotic Fund Board in London, where he is doing work connected with the repatriation scheme.
