REVERSE FOR BYRON NELSON NEW YORK, August 20. Fred Haas, a 30-year-old amateur, halted Bvron Nelson’s winning streak by capturing the Memphis open golf tournament with a score of 270. Nelson and McSpaden, both with 276, were next and then came Ivic Ghezzi (2771 and Sam Snead (280). Nelson was trying for his twelfth tournament victory this year.
