Winn, left Wellington this morning by R.N.Z.A.F. aircraft for a visit to Fiji, Western Samoa, and’ Penrhyn. Their Excellencies are due to return to Wellington oil August 25.' Colonel J. D.- Cottrell, who before , the war was a well-known physician in Dunedin, has been demobilised, in Italy in order to accept, an. appointment for a, year with. Unrra. Dr Cottrell • served for five and ■' a-hnlf years with the armed forces. Mr P. G. Connolly, M.P., left this morning for Wellington. Word has been received that Flightsergeant E. A. Cope, son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Cope, of 13 Driver street, St. Kilda, has been promoted to the rank of pilot officer. Mr W. D. Robson, of the staff of Messrs Ross and ,Glendining Ltd.,. Invercargill, has been transferred to the Dunedin branch on promotion. He will take up his new position at the end of this month. ' , - Mr and Mrs A. (Robson, of Karitane, and formerly of Opolio, have received advice that their son. Second-lieutenant A. J. Robson, has been mentioned in despatches Mr E. J.
