POLICY FOR PEACE
ARCHBISHOP'S FIVE POINTS
(Rec. noon.) LONDON, August 19. Preaching at Westminster, Dr .B. WGriffin (Archbishop of Westminster) gave a five-point policy for peace. First, we must reassert our beliefs in the rights of the individual; secondly, all authority comes from God. If we recognise the rights of God we shall in the same measure recognise the rights of man; thirdly, international relations must be based on justice, informed by charity; fourthly, the most powerful nations must help, not oppress, the weaker; fifthly, censorship of the Press and radio has ended in Britain and' America. These must now be .used to foster truth. True internationalism can be. fostered among the nations by allowing, their nationals to visit the outside world and receive and exchange ideas.
