WOMEN’S COMPETITION

The women’s hockey competition was continued at the Oval on Saturday under favourable conditions. . In the A 1 grade, Momona beat Kings by 6 goals to 4. It was a hard game, and, although Momona had play its, own way until Kings’ shortage of, three players was made up, the remainder of the spell was evenly contested, and the score at half time was 2—all. 'The scorers for Momona were J. McLaren (3), W. Middleton (2), andi F. Robertson (1). Kings’ scores were obtained by L. Dickson, E. Wilcox, M. Eaton, and E. Campbell.

Taieri scored a decisive win over Otago, the score being 8 goals to nil. In the A2 grade, University B drew with Kings, I—all, and Glenross defeated University C by 2 goals to nil. in the B2 grade, Momona beat Technical College by 10 goals to nil, and Combined Wesley by 3 goals to 2.
