SALE OF CARLTON HOTEL

TRANSFER APPROVED AT £28,000

A transfer of the Carlton Hotolfrom Robert Charles Benjamin Greenslade'to' Peter Dalliessi at £28,000 was approved by the Otago Land Sales Committee (Messrs E. J. Anderson, chairman, R. Walls, and D. J. Ross) at a sitting yesterday. The amount of consideration was apportioned as follows: Land, £10,000; buildings, £2,000; goodwill and license, £16,000. Mr J. H. Dodd, for the vendor, said that during the year ended March 31 last the average weekly takings from the bar and bottle store were £450. The Crown representative (Mr J. R. Hampton) raised no objection to the proposed price.
