BOWLING

LOGAN PARK CLUB The annual meeting of the Logan Park Bowling Club was held .in the pavilion on Saturday. Mr A. A. McLenuan (president) occupied the chair, and made reference to the loss the club had sustained through the death of Messrs W. J. King (patron) and G. Ellison, and expressed sympathy with their relatives, and also with Mr D. McGregor, who had suffered a bereavement. -In moving the adoption of the annual report, Mr McLennan said he thought members had every, reason to be satislied with the progress made during the past season, and made special reference to the increase in membership. Mr Davidson seconded the motion, and referred to the marked improvement in the condition of the green. Mr Lough, treasurer, moved the adoption of the balance sheet, which showed that the financial position was very sound. The following office-bearers > were elected:—President, Mr G. Dawson, W. McDonald, C. Gardner. A. S. Blair. C. Brown; auditor, Mr G. Davidson; lion, solicitor, Mr M. Ha nan; centre delegates, Messrs F. J. Lough (executive) and G. Davidson; Saturday selectors, Messrs A. A. McLennan and J. Hunter; Wednesday selector, Mr F. J. Lough; Billiards Committee —Messrs T. Cornish. J. McGregor, and A. A. McLennan ; Social. Committee —Messrs W. Coulter (convener). D. McGregor, and W. McDonald; green supervisor, Mr R. A. Dawson; club captain, Mr W. McDonald; coaches, Messrs T. Gibson and W. H. Saunders. A remit with respect to Saturday competitions from the Dunedin Bowl-1 ing Centre was received and after some discussion it was decided that copies of the remit should be made and distributed to members, to enable them to become more conversant with its ternis, prior to a meeting being held to consider the matter more fullv.
