TRIAL OF RETAIN

(Rec. noon.) LONDON. May 27. Marshal Petain's counsel announced that the Marshal hopes to call as witness at his forthcoming trial Mr Robert Murphy, at present political adviser to General Eisenhower, and formerly counsellor at the American Embassy at Vichy, says a Paris message. The Foreign Office and the American Embassy refused to despatch Petain's letter to' Admiral Leahy. It had to be posted in the ordinary mail.
