TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l notice that a collection is being taken up for three motherless children. If this is to be done for one family, why not for all ? 1 know of one case--where a man (with one-leg) has just lost his wife and he is left with six children, the eldest being eight years and the youngest four months old. This man has every hit of a harder case and nothing has ever bee-n collected for him. I maintain that collections are not the responsibility of the people, but such cases should he for the Social Security Department.—l am, etc., May 28. Taxed.
