MR CHURCHILL VISITS CONSTITUENCY FETED LIKE FILM STAR Pfoss Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. May 26. Mr Churchill was feted • like a film star during a six-hour tour of his constituency, says the Press Association. He, at one "stage departed from his itinerary and called in at a children's tea-party, where he donned & paper hat and kissed the toddlers. Speaking at Wanstead, Mr Churchill expressed regret that the Labourites mid Liberals " couldn't stay with us to finish ofF Japan. I don't reproach them, but someone has to carry on the show." Referring to Russia, Mr Churchill • said, " We are going to remain friends with them and no one can separate us." t Mr Churchill encountered only two hecklers throughout the tour. To one, . who asked what about the food short-age,-he retorted, " I did not come here to promise you beer and skittles." Addressing his constituents at Woodford, Mr Churchill revealed that he informed President Truman that the election in Britain must not be allowed in any way to delay the meeting of the il Hig Three " even for a single day. " If T have to leave the country I hope you will see that 1 do not suffer for it ( when the day conies for a general election." "
