BURIED IN A NAMELESS CRAVE
LONDON, May 25. Himmler was buried in a nameless grave on the edge of the Luneburg Heath at dusk this evening, says the ' Daily Mail's ' correspondent at British Second Army headquarters. British soldiers carried the blanket-swathed body to tho heath and dug a grave. An army chaplain said the last rites as the body was lowered into the grave, which was immediately filled in and left. , . Before the burial doctors and detectives took fingerprints and examined Himmler's nails and teeth, measured each limb, and also took a death mask and cast of his ears. The _' Daily Express ' says they d,id this for two reasons. In the first olace they want unbreakable proof of identity, and secondly they want to preserve for all time the features of the man who sent 5,000.000 others to their "death.
