SABOTAGE PLOT THAT FAILED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright (liec. 8 a.m.) NEWYORK, May 26. The United Press correspondent at Caracas says that the chief of the Venezuelan secret service (Dr *ebres) has disclosed that the German High Command plotted tho sabotage of Venezuela's oilfields and the blowing up of Allied tankers carrying fuel to the west of Europe. Georg Blass, a German agent in charge of sabotage in North and South America, in now imprisoned in Brazil. There was an organised sabotage ring of 10 Germans resident in Venezuela, including a chemistry professor who prepared the explosives. The plot was never carried out and the Germans have been detained indefinitely.
