CEASE FIRE--WHEN?

War Ebbing to Close

Himmler Reported Ready for Full Surrender

LONDON. April 30.

Following a day filled with rumours President Truman announced that there would be "no sensational statements from the White House to-night."

Stockholm has provided the main source of surrender reports. Count Bernadotte is reported to have completed his talks with Himmler, and to be in possession of Himmler's agreement for the unconditional surrender of Germany to Britain, America, and the Soviet Union.

Count Bernadotte is reported as saying that there will be no need for him to have further talks with Himmler.

It is stressed in London that all the Stockholm reports are entirely without confirmation.
