INVESTIGATIONS IN DOMINION

(P.A.) WISLINGTON, May 1. A delegation representing the British Rayon Federation was received yesterday by the Acting P/rime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash. The delegation, which is visiting New Zealand under the auspices cl the British Board of Trade, is investigating the possibility of British and dominion interests co-operating to develop, at the wish of the Government, rayon-using industries in this counrty, and also to examine the probable postwar conditions and prospects of British trade with New Zealand in rayon goods generally. The delegation will risit other important industrial and commercial centres, and will have discussions with the various interests concerned. The members of the delegation are Sir Percy Ashley (chairman otf the British (Rayon Federation and leader of the delegation), Mr John 11. K. Tyro (chairman of the rayon exporters' section of the London Chamber of Commerce). Mr A. P. T. Holden (an expert on wool and rayon cloths), and Mr H. B. Gee (of the British. Rayon Federation and secretary of tho delegation). Mr Francis Grundy, a director and former president of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, was to have been a member of the delegation but had to withdraw on medical advice.
