WAR IN PACIFIC

TO THE EDITOR. Sir. —I was surprised and pained at the scant mention made of our soldiers of the Pacific at the recent Anzac services. It is time there was a proper appreciation of the work our boys did under the most trying and filthy conditions. Our speakers pass them by as if they were a "legion of the lost." Our sons died in the Solomons, just as their noble comrades have done in Africa and Italy, and should not be.forgotten. History will record the important part these boys played in keeping the hated Japanese from our shares.— 1 am, etc., Bereaved Parent. April 30.
