SHARE MARKET. A bare sales list was recorded at -thit morning's call on the Dunedin Exchange, with little change in prices. Bank of New Zealauds were slightly easier at 47s 3d-48s, the first noticeable movement in the scrip since the market steadied just over a week ago. E.S. and A.s had declared purchasers at 935, with best holders asking 2s away on an ex-dividend quotation. Insurance stocks were well supported by buyers, with no vendors quoting, while N.Z. Refrigerating contribs. closed between 13s lld-14s 2d. N.Z; Loan- and Mercantile attracted attention in the agency section with a market at £64-£69, but other early sections were lethargic. Scrip to receive attention in the miscellaneous, group included Consolidated Bricks at 10s-10s 6d, Donaghy's Ropes at 66s 9d-70s, ' O.D.T.' between 50s 6d-52s 9d, with WocJworths N.Z. on offer at 235. Mount Morgans remained firm with an inquiry at 7s 2d, but holders were not attracted. SALES ON 'CHANGE: THIS DAY.

Although supplies were much improved at this morning's auction, prices remained very firm. There was a keen demand from a good attendance of buyers, resulting in a complete clearance of all varieties. Prices ranged as follows:—Lemon soles, B£d to 9Jd per lb; English soles, 6fd; flounders, 6id to 7d; ling, 4£d to sid; gurnet, 4£d; groper, 10id to lid; blue cod, 9£d; red cod, 24s (per large case). LOAN OVER-SUBSCRIBED. ■ CANBERRA, April 30. Australia's Third Victory Loan of £IOO,000,000 has been over-subscribed. The Treasurer, Mr J. B. Chifley, reported to-day that complete figures will not be available for about a week, but the response to the latest war loan is considered'highly satis--factory CUSTOMS RETURNS. —Dunedin.— The Customs revenue collected at the Port of Otago last month showed an increase of, £1,123 over the figure for April, 1944. Beer duty increased from £30,191 to £30,954, and the sales tax receipts showed an increase from £31,784 in April, 1944, to £34,069 for last month. The War Expenses Account also showed a small increase. Following are the returns for last month, with the comparative figures for April, 1944, given in parentheses:— I Customs revenue. £30,223 (£29,100); beer I duty, £30,959 (£30,191); sales tax, £34,069 (£31,784); war expenses, £121,335 (£120,1118). ."—Christchurch.— . The Customs., revenue collected at Christchurch for the month of April show* an increase of £37,811 over the figures for April of last year. The following are the details, with the figures for 1944 in parentheses:—Customs, £66,222 (£59,207); beer duty, £23,870 (£17,868); sales .tax, £50,723 (£43,558); war expenses. £150,956 ! BYCROFT LTD. The net profit of Messrs. Bycroft Ltd., for the year ended March 3l was £213 lower at £12,904. The -dividend is being maintained at 8 per cent, per annum (final of 4 per cent.). The total dividend requires £12,000, leaving £10,803 to be carried forward, an increase of £904. In the balance sheet cash items are £63,781 higher at £128.298, and stock is down by £58,488 to £35.233. .
