FRENCH MUNICIPAL ELEGTIONS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. An official communique from the French delegation in New Zealand states: "The election of municipal bodies will take place in .Metropolitan France on Sunday, April 29. Women in France will be voting for the first time- „ „ ~ w "The election of Conseus Generaux (couritry councils) will take place in May and J.une. ; " It is the French Government's will that democratic institutions in Franco should operate as soon as possible, and for that reason they find it inexpedient to postpone the above elections until the return from Germany of all French prisoners and deportees, which may take some time yet. " The elections of Members of Parliament will take place after the war when all French soldiers and prisoners are back in France."
