CHINA'S SUPPORT
NATION PLEDGED TO UTMOST SAN FRANCISCO, April 26. Dr T. V. .Soong, leader of China's delegation, said; "Mr Roosevelt's vision, faith, statesmanship, and courage brought victory within sight. In a tribute to his memory let us concert our efforts to complete the important task ahead in the fullest measure. China, perhaps more than any other nation, understands the necessity for this conference. China has endured every misery that predatory aggression can impose. To ensure the fulfilment of our aims for an effective international security organisation we must lose no time.
" If there is any message that my country •' wishes to give it is_ that wye are prepared; in conjunction with other, nations, to yield if necessary part of our sovereignty to the new international organisation in the interest of collective security. We must all be ready to make some sacrifices in order to have effectiveness."
