HARD OF HEARING LEAGUE

The fourth social evening of the year held by the Men's Social Club of the Hard of Hearing League last evening was attended by 30 members. In a talk on the town of Denniston, West. Coast, delivered by the Rev. Ernest Walsh, the speaker s recalled many of his experiences during his residence, there, together with other points of interest.

The chairman (Mr A. J. Simmonds) intimated that due to the club rooms being closed, for the term holidays', the next social evening was scheduled foi May 28. ' The drive for male members at tho four main centres disclosed the following position as at March 31 : Dunedin 73, Wellington 57, Christchurch 51, Auckland 30.
