PINE HILL AMENITIES
HOUSEHOLDERS' COMMITTEE MEETS Mr J. T. Faulds, president, was in the chair at the first meeting for the year of the committee of the DalmorePine Hill -Districts Ratepayers and Householders' Association. Also present were Mesdames -.1. L. Ford and W. Bayly, Messrs P. Beath, D. Mitchell, G. Newey, 1. Hodding, R. G, Craig, E. Burgess, G. Bingham, R. 0. Bond, and D. A. Lake. The town clerk wrote stating that the early morning bus from Liberton would in future run via Wilkinson and Hislop streets.—Received. The president and Mr Hodding were appointed delegates to the next meeting of the Gardens Business Association, to report back to the committee. A full discussion ensued regarding work required in the district, and it was decided to forward a list of the more urgent to the City Council for consideration in the coming year's allocations. It was agreed to press particularly for the sealing of the footpath in Pine Hill road from Franklin street to Liberton; the corner of Pine Hi!l road and Orbell street, and the completion of sealing in Fortune street between Franklin street and Gladstone road. The secretary was also instructed to write regarding the general overgrowth of weeds, etc., on roads and footways.
